Dirty, covered in orange dust
Recieved the peeler and it went straight into the trash, was DIRTY. It was covered in an orangish powder and smelled like a garage. Do not buy this peeler.

When this little 6" long x 1.5" diameter rubber tube arrived I had no clue how to use it nor did I think it had any ability to peel garlic cloves. So before I instantly tossed it in the garbage I decided to read a few reviews to learn how it actually worked its magic. And WOW! this thing really works!

STUFF THE TUBE WITH 5 - 7 CLOVES OF GARLIC AND SIMPLY GENTLY PRESS & ROLL THE TUBE ON YOUR COUNTER TOP OR CUTTING BOARD AND AMAZINGLY 90% OF THE CLOVES ARE PEELED CLEAN.

For the price this is an unbeatable little gadget and I highly recommend it.

Worth every dollar (which is about what I paid for it) that i spent on this thing. I had to break up a half dozen cloves of garlic last night and this worked quick and easy to do so. People watching me cook even commented what a neat little device it was. It took a while to receive and the silicone feels a little cheaper than I expected, but it did the job it was designed to do and worked just fine. All in all, a great purchase.

I should have read the reviews. This arrived (shipped from China) very dirty and smudged. Also the outside of the tube has blistering which looks like it will come loose if I actually use it - which I'm not going to do. I wasted the money for this (granted it wasn't much) but I'm not ruining good garlic too.

This actually works extremely well, I eat Garlic often to help with blood flow, I always hated peeling garlic; Saw this on YouTube and had to give it a try. I did not want to buy already peeled garlic as you lose some of the important nutrients to the oxidation process. Garlic is a very fickle piece of art, eating it immediately after peeling and cutting is key to getting the full effects, even pickling it causes it to lose most of it's virility for your cardiovascular system.

These work extremely well, I am honestly surprised they have not been around until recently, as the convenience is supurb.
Be sure to use both hands if you can, and not roll it on the table with one hand.

It does a good job of peeling garlic. However, it also seems that garlic does a good job of peeling the peeler. I had a LOT of small pink particles mixed in with my peeled garlic.

The pink brings life to the kitchen and it hasn't faded in the dishwasher.

Thankfully it didn't take a month to arrive as predicted. I got the same pink color that I think everyone else did. My mom had a garlic roller growing up, and I wanted one for my own household because we use so much garlic, but didn't want to spend $10+ on one single item. This cost about $3, and it works pretty well. It does slide on the counter a bit while using it, but other than that (and the color... at least it stands out in the drawer!) I think it is worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars It does the work it is intended for

I love this tube. It works better when i place the garlic on a sturdy wooden chopping board. But sometimes the garlic does get crushed unintentionally. It does help to peel the skin with no discomfort to fingers and nails. But I will not say that it is a must have in the kitchen. I find peeling and mincing garlic with my chef knife equally if not more convenient. I gave four stars because it does the job it set out to do and cut one star because it the garlic sometimes gets crushed instead of coming out whole after peeling.
