Great seasoning. I took this because of a thyroid problem. Was scheduled to have more than half of my thyroid and isthmus removed. One month later after pre-surgical blood work, my doctor who is a great endocrinologist refused to do the surgery and/or prescribe any meds because of the change in my numbers. I stopped gaining weight, my energy level increased and now I have actually lowered my blood pressure working out on my Pilates reformer bench. Before I began using this in soups and salads, I could barely get out of the bed or move. After taking this a few times a week, I was able to do housework and increase my daily activities. I still have thyroid problems, but no surgery! Don't take too much, you can harm yourself by side effects from taking too much, so be careful. But it is a great seasoning to use for those who use little or no salt for blood pressure control as well. This is medicine in a healthy, tasty seasoning for food. I'm not a doctor, but have done extensive research on how to control illness by avoiding pharmaceuticals as much as possible.
