Terrible spice rack. It looks nice, but the head ache of trying to cook with this is not worth it. The caps do not thread on to the jars, the jars get stuck in the rack, and the rack easily bends when you try to pull the stuck jars out. The plastic pieces that hold the jars in the rack pop out when you attempt to pull out any stuck jars. Do not buy this. It is not worth it.
This sits right next to my stove. After 7 years, I have had no trouble with it. Today I emptied it out and scrubbed it top to bottom with a brillo pad.
First one I ordered came broken. The second is unusable. The lids don't fit on the jars, and the jars are not a uniform size, so half of them are too big for the spice rack. Not worth the price; basically it's junk. At least it came with some spice. I feel totally ripped off.
The manufacturer has included improper cap sizes with the wrong number of threads which make the caps just pop right off if they are bumped the slightest. I contacted Amazon customer service and attempted to explain that the caps that come with these spice jars are the wrong ones they come with a lid that has two threads. Amazon's customer service have their hands tied all they can do is offer me a refund which is not what I want. I decided to email Lifetimebrands directly to resolve this issue. The jars only have one thread, the caps have two threads that is why the lids literally fall off when you put them in the rack. I'm waiting for a response from Lifetimebrands.
It stood straight and didn’t wobble like my other one. Comes with Spices already included and 5-yr of free refills. The tops of the containers were plastic and the containers seemed like glass-like material so it would last long. Only reason i took it back is because my friend actually bought me one as a gift i didn’t know about haha
Looks wise really good. Not at all cheap looking as I read in few of the reviews about this product. Spice quality is good, herb quality not so much. BUT, the lids are BAD, like really a frustration. Half of the lid tops don't close, mostly I need to fight with them :( for the ground herbs or spices like fennel, the seeds keeps on falling out coz the lids won't close. I would not recommend it as a gift coz even after spending $50, you will come across as frugal, if you know what I mean.
I live in Istanbul, Turkey and received my order in 12 days. Great item for the price, however i wish there was black and red pepper instead of seasoning spices. Despite that, i'm really happy with it.
Decent product for storing spices. However, the caps that go over the spices did not fit very well and some would not fit at all. While the product works for holding spices I would not recommend this for purchase. Good price though.
None of the caps fit on the jars so couldnt even use them. Build quality is a little rough and it looks cheap if you are close up. One of the 4 pillars in mine isnt really angled properly and the spice sits almost horizontal instead of angled downwards so it will prob fall out any day now.
Out of the 20 jars, only 2 or 3 of the lids worked. Either the threads were misaligned and wouldn't properly screw on and stay. If even slightly over turned or under turned the lid pops off and contents spill. A lot of my lids had misaligned holes so the flaps would not close. So, again spices spill if you try to use the rack. I was horribly horribly disappointed with this product. I dont know if it was just a bad batch but 15 or so of the jars or lids being faulty is unacceptable.
