- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2014I purchased this book as a gift with a collection of salt and another book, Salt A World History. The cover drew me right in, and I copied off several of the recipes before I gifted it, with the actual cookies from the book. The photography is excellent, and the recipes simple and delicious. The only drawback is that there wasn't more recipes!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2010This is not a very big cookbook, but some really nice recipes! We already made the peach caprese salad and it was excellent! Served it at a dinner party for 8 and there were no scpraps left. I did substitute the honey with a blood orange olive oil and it really gave a nice flavor.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2014I have been very interested in salt of late and this cookbook provides both a pleasing presentation with great photos and nice recipes. There is not a lot to this cookbook so if you are looking for the "Complete" works of salt cookbooks there are others. But if your interest is general and you are looking for ideas to give you a head start. This is a good one.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2015Gave this book to my brother along with an artisan salt sampler, and it was a hit! Beautiful book with tons of great information! Highly recommended!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2015This book is okay. My fave part is the end where they give about 8 dry rub recipes.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2014Also a gift to give the budding chef some ideas on how to use her new salts. Interesting recipes!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2018The book is so important because I was mistaken about salt and the fun ways to work with it. Thank you for the info.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2016Bought as a gift for someone who loves to cook. Flipped through it beforehand and was pleased with content.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a lot of Salt, but Awesome
This is a fantastic cook book and you will learn more about salt then you ever thought possible. You look at some of these recipes and expect them to taste like pure salt as they use cups of salt but they don’t and they taste great. The Indian Spice Leg of Lamb uses two and a half cups of salt and doesn’t taste overly salty, though don’t try to make a gravy out of the drippings as that is where two and half cups of salt go to. The drinks, desserts, spices and brines actually make you appreciate salt more and every time I have made something from this book I have not been let down.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just some recipes with salt, nothing more
Photos are the only nice thing about this book, if you are into salt, trust me you already know a lot more then this book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not happy
I found this book very expensive for the size of it. I was expecting alot more info on actually cooking with salt. Instead, it was just a small cookbook, and expensive for what you get.
