Product Description

A quick and easy way to peel garlic, the Zak! Designs garlic peeler is both flexible and durable. Made in the USA, this red silicone peeler is tube shaped and has scalloped edges. To use, simply insert the garlic into the tube and place it on a flat, sturdy surface. Then, apply gentle pressure with your hands and roll the tube until you hear the skin come off. 1-1/2" diameter x 4-3/4" H

    I love this garlic peeler and I actually bought this one for my daughter. It works exactly as advertised and simplifies the process of using fresh garlic in cooking. After peeling garlic cloves I frequently use it as is and don't bother to put it through a press and then I can remove it when I am ready to serve dinner. It is fast, easy to clean and takes up hardly any space in the drawer. There isn't much more to it than that. Great product at a great price. Highly recommended. Definitely won't break or need any service anytime soon.

    We cook every night in our house so garlic is generally out every night. I had gotten sick of the usual smashing the garlic clove with a knife and peeling off the skin so decided to give this a try. It definitely works as promised...comfortable and easy to use and if you use the right amount of pressure the skins slip right off....leaving behind hunks of skin in the wrapper, which don't fall out easily and stick to the inside. So the drawer I keep it in now has little garlic skin scraps all over it. It's easy enough to rinse clean, but in the end not sure if it's worth it vs. just smashing your garlic and peeling.

    After struggling for years picking at garlic cloves with my fingernails and getting garlic all over my hands and the skins all over everything, I finally discovered this simple device. It works every time, on all but cloves with the thickest, hardest husks, and even then, you can simply put them in this and pound on it until the husk breaks.

    For 99.9% of cloves, you simply put it inside the tube, give it a good firm roll back and forth a couple times, and tip it up and the clove falls out. Many times it's perfectly clean, but others the skin might still be attached but easily removed. Makes cleaning up the "paper" much easier as well.

    As to cleaning, it couldn't be easier, just put a drop of soap on it and clean it with your fingers under the faucet.

    A great tool for something so dead simple.

    This is the greatest little gadget I've seen in a long time. I just got it today, and had to try it out right away. I was shocked at how well it worked, with no effort on my part. I showed my husband how it worked when he came home, and he was amazed how something so simple in design could do the peeling of garlic so effortlessly. I used to pound on the garlic clove with the side of a knife as the chefs teach you to do, and managed to cut myself on the knife, being the klutz that I am, so this is the answer to my garlic peeling problems. In fact, I ordered one for my daughter and my BFF...I know they will just love it! If you use a lot of fresh garlic, my recommendation is to buy this peeler...you won't be sorry!

    I won't lie to you, I've used this product exactly once. It works as advertised, but really - what's the point. Smashing a clove of garlic with the flat of a chef's knife achieves the same purpose. This item is now lingering in the bottom of one of my kitchen drawers. It works, but unless one has to routinely prepare a huge amount of garlic on a regular basis, I would pass.

    I had one of these before and my wife threw it away one day. I was glad to replace it with another. I make a garlic anglehair pasta soup that calls for 40 whole garlic cloves and this little peeler makes it much faster. The peels do stick to it due to a static charge that builds but they blow off easly. Great gadget to have if you work with garlic.
