Nice grinder set with a few problems.
These salt and pepper grinders are beautiful and an optimal size. They hold a fair amount of product and since they are wide at the base, they sit nicely on the table. There are however a few points that detract from the overall appeal of the products :- They are incredibly hard to open and fill . . Granted you only have to tug the silver cap off but try as I might , I could not get them opened . I had to wait for my husband to come home and do it for me.- The little silver wheel at the bottom that regulates the fineness of the grind is also quite hard to tighten enough for a reasonable size of grind.- The product logo is very large and placed so prominently that I find it takes away from the general aesthetics of the grinders which are actually quite attractive. I had been looking for plain grinders to get away from my previous Costco branded set.Overall , they are a nice set that do work but I feel the general design needs a little more fine tuning .They were provided to me at a considerable discount for the purpose of reviewing.

Okay, always on the hunt for a good deal, I purchased these because it looked like they were really expensive, offered for surprisingly inexpensively. I am not sure if the price was severely reduced because these were a defective batch or what. I noticed that almost immediately the salt came through the bottom of the salt grinder and still some slides through no matter how tight you try to make the grinder. I filled the pepper grinder before trying to adjust the grain of the pepper grinds. It seemed to get stuck and was mal-aligned and it does not seem to adjust noticeably... i.e. I'm getting 2/3 to 3/4 of a pepper corn when I grind, although I've tried to reduce the size.

I really liked the look of this set. It turned out to be a lot larger than I anticipated. I don't seem to be able to get a corse grind on them. Only the fine setting no matter what level you put on the "screw". We have always used fresh pepper but never had the salt grinder before. I got the Himilayan Pink Sea Salt to go with it and we really like it. And we will probably stick with it. I do like them but I don't give them a 5 star because they don't seem to be adjusted for different grinds. Oh, but I do like the little "lids" on the top. In the photo it just looks uncovered with the photo angle they used.

These work okay...once you can get them apart to fill them. As a senior citizen, there should be a warning that they do not screw apart but must be PULLED apart. They fit VERY TIGHT!!! I had to get my son to do it...and it was not easy for him, either. I dread having to refill them. If I had not thrown away the box I would have returned them. So for now, they work to grind my pink Himalayan salt, that I wanted to add to my families diet. They work well...but the way they are filled is ridiculous.
