Nice but one has a defect
The grinders are indeed quite attractive and work excellently. My only issue is that after I filled them and used them for a day or so I noticed a defect in the glass globe on the salt grinder. In the seam where the 2 halves of the globe are joined there is a small chunk missing. At first I thought it was a chip, but upon running my finger over it I came to the conclusion it was simply a problem in the mold when they put the two parts together. Since I had already used the grinders I decided not to return them and wait another week for replacements. I'll just use them and hope the salt globe doesn't break apart at some point.Other than this issue the grinders are very nice.

I needed a new S&P shakers since mine were some cheap plastic mismatched ones. I wanted ones with the opening up top and that didn't break the bank. These do not come with any salt or pepper.

Pros:
-Easily adjustable from fine to coarse.
-Opening on top to eliminate any on the counter
-Ceramic grinder
-Perfect for cooking since it only takes a few quick turns
-Glass bottom

Cons:
-These are a lot larger than I imaged and I had to get used to the shape.
-I almost wish they were a cylinder on top so they were a little easier to grab or at least have a texture on them.
-The metal trim is flimsy but it adds to the look.
-One lid sticks a little more than the other but I don't push them down all the way down.

These grinders are elegant looking. They are glass and did not travel well. One came broken. I will ask to have another set sent to me.

I got the second set and they arrived perfectly. They are so pretty and useful. There is a clear plastic cover on top of the grinder that allows you to grand upside down into the plastic cap an amount you would like and then be able to measure it if you need to for recipes. It did not takes long to use and enjoy them. I have always had the ones that grind from the top and the salt and pepper comes from the bottom where the grinder is.

On these the grinders are in the top and you tip it upside down to grind. There is a plastic top on each to keep the grinder clean and allows you to grind into the top and be able to measure the amount you have and can have freshly ground salt and pepper in recipes. I would recommend them to anyone.

I loved these grinders from the moment I got them. They worked really well and I was very enthused with the easiness of changing the coarseness (or size) setting. Unfortunately, after two months, my pepper grinder locked up and I am now unable to change it back and am stuck with nearly full peppercorns coming out. Because I was so impressed, I was planning on ordering another set so i could have a working pepper grinder again but it appears these may not be for sale anymore. Pretty bummed.

The grinders are decent ceramic but nuts on top are cheap and wear out quickly - if you order this product go ahead and buy a couple of stainless wingnuts, you'll need them after the plastic nuts on top strip and randomly fly off, dumping half a shaker of seasoning onto your food - one I could count as a fluke but this happened to both shakers under moderate use (not even once a day) after less than 3 months. Maybe instead of printing giant logos a bit more of the cost of manufacture could have gone into making a working product. Do not recommend.

Very nice set, if you like freshly ground salt and pepper. These have a high visual appeal, and I really like the size...they are quite large for salt and pepper shakers, so will not require as frequent of refills. I wasn't sure how I felt about having to remove the lid before each use, as it seemed a bit more inconvenient. However, I do like that it keeps the spices fresh and, even better, it keeps dust out, so I've decided it's worth it. I agree with a few other reviewers about the printed on words. I think the company should either not put them there at all, or be proud enough to do it right (engrave, don't just print on letters that will eventually rub off). Due to the positioning of the lettering, I am fairly confident it will wear off over time because you must "twist" your fingers over it every time you grind/dispense. When this happens, the visual appeal will diminish considerably.
