This spice definitely warrants its own book. This book is a complete guide to Ginger. Up til now I have been very limited on my use of Ginger. This book has opened my eyes to so many more benefits to Ginger. There are so many great recipes in here for Ginger. I will definitely be making more of these recipes. I will be growing my own Ginger this year to have a regular supply to keep up with the recipes in this book. This book is absolutely worth 99 pennies. If you love Ginger your gonna love this book. I liked the recipes I tried in this book. I tried Spiced Apple Sauce, Carrot Ginger Soup, African Peanut Soup, Ginger Infused Yams and Gingered Salmon Baked in Foil. I like the zip that ginger adds to recipes and I'm happy to read about its health benefits. This book was definitely worth the money, especially since it was free! Lol!

Not much to write about. A decent resource if you like ginger but you can find a lot of recipes on the internet for free. I am rather sorry that I bothered to get it. I have pulled apart and kept only a few recipes.

So much more about ginger than I ever thought I wanted to know, and so interesting! I had an old jar of ginger in my spice rack that I had never used. After reading this, I went out and bought a fresh jar! I knew ginger was great for mild nausea, but I didn't know all the other uses for it. Recipies that followed were wonderful too. Thanks for a very great read and the inspiration to start using ginger in my cooking!

Overall I really liked this book and enjoyed learning about the benefits of ginger. I always heard that ginger helps to settle the stomach, but never knew that it could be used for cramps, or treating inflammation. I mean Confucius is said to consume it every day. Pretty awesome! I'm looking forward to trying out some of the recipes and maybe even incorporating them into my daily diet.

The recipes use ingredients that I usually have, so no exotic shopping is necessary. I'm not sure about all the health claims, but they certainly are more healthy than not. I think the ones using shrimp and chicken are the ones I'll try first.

I am kind of obsessed with ginger. I seriously love it so I was thrilled to find a cookbook that is focused on ginger. I haven't made all the recipes yet, but I've been pleased with the ones I've tried. They've been very easy to make and tasty.

I would have bought this book just for the pictures, because I always want to know what a dish will look like and the photos are gorgeous! The recipes I have tried so far, as is the case with this whole series, are simple and elegant and tasty. The informative introduction about ginger, including its health benefits and cautions, is an extremely valuable bonus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some great Ginger Recipes
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 2, 2013
This is an interesting cookery book containing a number of dishes made with Ginger. The book starts off with an overview of the history, used and benefits of this root. I liked that it also provided precautions and side-effects of using Ginger to excess or where you may have certain conditions.

The recipes are fairly varied covering main dishes, soups, desserts, sauces, cakes and ice cream. Some recipes are a little different such as Ginger Beets or Ginger Infused Yams. Some look mouth-watering like Ginger Dal with Coconut and Lime or the African Peanut Soup! The book is nicely rounded off with a list sources and references.

I was already aware of some of the benefits of Ginger and recently made an effort to use more of it in my diet. This book certainly provides plenty of ways to do that. Well presented and with easy to use recipes, I would definitely recommend this book.

Very nice variety of recipes, but some are a bit too sweet for my taste.
The format of the book is a bit sloppy, but the nice pictures make up for that.
I like all the health information and commends about the nutritional value of the ingredients.
Easy to read and the chatty way it is written feels like an old friend sharing your space.

5.0 out of 5 stars GINGERLICIOUS!
Reviewed in Canada on March 27, 2013
This book is absolutely amazing. So far, every recipe I've prepared from this book has been a smashing hit...and I cook A LOT. I never thought I could get away with using ginger so abundantly in meals...throw in the added health benefits and baby, you'll feel like you've won the lottery.
The salmon recipe is my favorite (so easy!) ...but the halibut recipe is also a fierce second competitor (even my boyfriend liked it, and he normally doesn't eat fish). The pictures are amazing and very well depicted, I just want to eat everything!!! Seriously, foodies out there...get this book. You won't regret! :)
