    I am a 29 year old male who never struggled with weight before until about a year ago. I was the skinny guy in high school and could eat whatever I wanted. Well that all changed and I ballooned to 198 pounds. I'm 5'11 and while definitely not too overweight, I felt slow and uncomfortable.
    The first few days were tough. I was constantly craving food (carbs), but I resisted. My daily routine involved getting up and drinking the cranwater (which is actually pretty good), the hot lemon water and a strawberry smoothie with Whey protein powder. My morning snack was raw green beans. Lunch are eggs and carrots and I would have salad and meat at night. It was hard to adjust to not eating all the time, but it is well worth it.
    After 1 week, I had lost 8 pounds. Seeing the daily loss in weight was great. After two weeks, I had lost 13 pounds. After three weeks, I lost a total of 14.5 pounds. I am losing less and less, but I am fitting into clothes I haven't worn in a couple years. I feel great and I am eating food I like. I sometimes miss the carbs, but I would never go back to where I was.
    This program is definitely life changing. I have a great morning routine and now schedule out when and what I eat. I also find it important to plan ahead and have food ready to go for the week. It cuts down on time and allows the week to be easy.
    Finally, if you are skeptical, I was too. I would have never tried the plan if my coworker hadn't been so successful doing it. If you stick to the plan, you will succeed. There are two things I haven't followed: taking all the vitamins and avoiding coffee. The plan can be expensive, so I don't buy the extras. I also love my morning cup of coffee. I now drink it black and enjoy it. You can do it! Buy the book for $4 used and you won't regret it!

    Everytime I visit my doctor my results are better. My eyes are even getting better. The latest is that I've had two major changes in my trifocals since starting, both for the better. My optometrist asked if I was "on supplements or something." This has not happened before and I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years!

    And, I'm holding my weight loss.

    I lost several pounds in the first week and lost at a steady safe rate ever since for the past seven months. I have now been on the plan 20 months and still love it. My weight has stablized because I've been on and off it regularly due to lots of traveling. But when I go back on seriously, the weight starts to move again.

    I was amazed that I could actually stick with the plan, since I have been fighting weight for more than 50 years ... half a century! I won't say there have been no cravings, but they seem more and more manageable. This is the longest I have been with a plan. Plus, when I have "fallen" for a couple weeks while on vacation, yes, I did gain a couple pounds back, only a couple. And, they came off within days of getting back on the plan.

    I have lost pverlbs. to date, which isn't bad for a semi-sedentary 63-year-old. On top of that a number of minor ailments have almost disappeared, including occasional joint pain. And, with doctor's approval, I have kicked Prilosec for a chronic acid stomach and Norvasc for high blood pressure. Oh, and that's not to mention shinier hair, healthier skin and stronger nails.

    This diet takes some organization to succeed, but the effort for me is certainly worth it. The supplements are expensive, but well-thought-out and without stimulants. After a while, the cost evens out and you're spending less on other health and nutrition-related items. Not to say less on junk foods, fast food and expensive coffees.

    One of the most wonderful features is that it continues to evolve in the caring hands of its author. While not as available as she once was before the diet gained massive popularity, she still will answer questions that can't be handled by the moderators on the Fat Flush board on iVillage or the Forum on her own web site.

    I would definitely recommend this to anyone who seriously wants to lose weight or just eat healthier.

    I have a very long list of diets I've been on, and none of them every worked, really. It was nothing I could stick to, I just didn't do well physically on them, and I never really lost much weight, anyway. Particularly, the most dangerous, longest-lasting fad of all, the low-fat, high-carb diet left me with an unstanble blood sugar, lack of energy, lots of cravings, and hormonal problems. On the other hand, when I tried Atkins I was so nauseated and physically uncomfortable after 2 weeks that I coulnd't stand the sight of eggs, cheese or meat for weeks after that. I thought there was just nothing for me; then I found The Fat Flush Plan - I'm happy to repost I've lost 27 of the 43 pounds I need to lose, and I feel and look better than I have in years.
    This book is brilliant. It gives info you won't finy anywhere else about the importance of essential fatty acids, how much protein is needed, why not all carbs are equal, and what are the things that are preventing you from being healthy, slim and full of energy.
    The regimen is divided in 3 sections, or "phases": phase 1 is the cleansing program, which goes on for a minimum of two weeks till a maximum of 1 month, where you'll have a somewhat limited choice of foods: the only spices allowed are those that are "liver-friendly", you are limited to 2 portions of low-glycemic fruit a day, and can have only poultry, fish, eggs and some red meats as your protein sources. You are also allowed no salt and no oil except for flax seed oil, that cannot be used for cooking, so you'll be cooking everything using salt-free broth. This phase of the plan is very strict and it will be a challenge for most. If you are a regular exerciser, you will most likely have to tune down your routine as you are not allowed very many carbs on this phase.
    As hard as it is, it works, and it works great, too. I lost 10 pounds and several inches from my thighs, hips and waist after 1 month on this phase. I was particularly surprised to notice that a big part of what had looked like fat was instead bloating caused by water retention.
    The next phase, the Phase 2, the "Ongoing fat flush" is the regimen you are supposed to follow until you have lots all the weight you need/want to lose. Here you are allowed to gradually add in some friendly carbohydrates, starting from some sprouted bread, followed by a small amount of peas, cooked carrots, and some other veggies.
    Consumption of dairy, salt and other good oils, as well as strength training, are not included in the program until the last phase, phase 3, which is the lifetime maintenance plan.
    The effect that the elimination of dairy had on me was a welcomed change, not to mention being able to conquer my cravings within only a few weeks on the plan - we are talking about life-long cravings for carbs and sweets, and they gradually disappeared, leaving me content to eat fresh fruit while the rest of my family was feasting on ice cream at a recent barbecue party. My skin is clearer and softer, my hair is shinier and generally healthier, my nails are stronger, and I'm still losing inches from my trouble spots!
    I think this is a great plan and I think it's the only way for many people to change their diet and overall health for the best. I also believe that the info contained in this book is useful and applicable to some extent for anyone who wants to improve and fine-tune their eating habits. Therefore, even if making a lifestyle out of this plan doesn't seem like something you would be willing to do, I'd recommend you read the book anyway, do the 2 weeks fat-flush and reap the benefits of it, and then incorporate at least some of the principles in your lifestyle. You won't be disappointed, I promise!

    I was first introduced to this book by my eldest daughter. She lent her book to me and I thought I must have a copy for myself.
    The information was fantastic. I have studied nutrition and found everything in this book to be true and logical.
    I immediately started to apply this method and the results were astounding. I felt better and lighter. I lost inches off my body in no time at all and my skin has never looked so good.
    The quality of my daughters nails and hair were so improved that others commented on it.
    I would highly recommend this plan for anyone who is interested in improving their health and diet.

    I am not able to find equivalent foods in India and this book is of very little use to me.

    Love this Plan. It is written in a way that keeps you reading. More as she has discovered, she has shared. The only thing i do not like is that when you go through to set up your daily routine, the plans she gives includes her kit but not the details of what is in it so it if you don't buy her kit, it is a little convoluted and means backtracking! It could have been much better if it didn't seem like she was flogging a product!

    An essential for every home. You learn about the things no ordinary medical person will tell you.
