Product Description

William Bounds Chocolate/Multi mill. Creates decorative shavings from chocolate chips or chunks for garnishing coffee drinks and desserts. Fill the mill with up to 1/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate and screw on lid. Hold the mill over a bowl or directly over the food to be garnished.

    This mill looks beautiful, but the plastic cylinder has plastic pegs that are glued into the metal base and they break easily. I've had two of these mills that I've used solely for chocolate. The first lasted about two years before breaking. The second mill broke after the first week! I glued the base back on and it worked for about six months, but now five of the six plastic pegs have broken off and there is nothing left that will hold the base on. It's a poor design! Save your money!

    I bought this mill to replace one just like it. (The medal bottom does not screw off, and if you try to the plastic case will break!). It works really well and is simple to fill and use. Perfect for when you want the taste of chocolate without eating a lot of it!

    It's strong and sturdy and comes in a rather nice stout box. But, when I put chunks of chocolate in it and turn the crank, I get a couple of shavings and then nothing. The spring pushing down on the chocolate is pretty weak and the 'blades' at the bottom don't seem to be anywhere near sharp enough for the job.
