  1. I read the Amazon product description, and also read through all 36 reviews of this item, but still couldn’t find a precise answer to my main question: “What size spice jars will fit in this rack?”I purchased one, and am now furnishing you with the answer. The space between the bottom shelf and the middle shelf is approximately 4 3/4 inches. The space between the middle shelf and the top shelf is appoximately the same. There is a metal bar running across the front of each shelf to act as a lip that keeps the jars from falling out of the front. That lip is about 1 1/4 inch above the shelf. Therefore, in order to add and remove the taller jars from the shelves, you have to tilt the jars to clear the front lip and the shelf above. In other words you have to angle them onto and off of the shelf. I have found that you can easily do this with jars that are about 4 inches tall. The standard McCormick jars are about 4 1/2 inches tall, and I was able to get them onto the first and second shelves with not much problem. You will not want to use the first and second shelves for jars that are between 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 inches tall. However, you can put jars of any height onto the third shelf, as long as the jars are no greater than 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The 2 1/2 diameter limit applies to the first and second shelves as well. I hope this makes it easier for prospective customers to decide if they can use this spice rack. The spice rack is well made, and the finish is a satin black that is silky to the touch. I only have 4 quibbles. 1) I wish there was a bit more clearance between shelves. 2) I wish they had put lips on the back like they did on the front, so that you can use the rack free-standing on a counter top without the jars falling out the back. A back lip would also have been useful for wall mount applications to help prevent your wall from being marked by spice jars bumping the wall when you add or remove them from the shelves. 3) The only mounting hardware that is included are 4 screws that go through mounting holes in the rack. If you wall mount this rack on drywall and miss the studs, you are going to have to supply your own wall anchors. I also wish the screws were slightly longer, to provide more secure penetration on studs. 4) My last quibble is with the product information. It’s sad that companies, including this one, don’t provide adequate product information to answer consumers questions. It’s frustrating for consumers to have to search through customer reviews or send questions to product specialtists in an attempt to find crucial information that the company failed to provide! Companies — wake up!Overall this is a quality spice rack, and if the dimensions are o.k. for your jars, I recommend it.

  2. My mother asked me for a spice rack for Christmas. Since I was doing all of my shopping over Amazon anyways, I decided to check out their stock. What I found was this amazing item from Stacks and Stacks. The great thing about this particular rack is its versatility. Unlike others that come with their own spices, this one is completely barren. That can be a great thing, considering how long those spices have probably been sitting in the bottles. Plus, many of those racks have trouble holding replacement ones once the originals run out. This rack was born to hold whatever you desire. Furthering it’s versatility, it can be either wall-mounted or free-standing (which is how my mother set it up in her kitchen). It looks great, a beautiful wrought-iron style design which complements most any kitchen decor (can’t go wrong with black). If it’s versatility, style, design, portability, and quality you’re looking for, then look no more. This spice rack is just what any kitchen needs!

  3. This is a stury, attractive spice rack, but it’s a bit cramped. It’s too small to put those large-sized spices on (eg 9.5 oz garlic salt) but it’ll just fit regular height and certainly the short spices. It’s a good deal for the money.

  4. I bought this spice rack as a present for my roommate, who’d been searching unsuccessfully for a rack to hold her collection of spice bottles. I think she likes it… I know I do! In fact, I am registered for one of my own now that I’m moving out and getting married. I think it’s attractive and homey-looking, plus well-made and durable. We’ve had no trouble with it fitting a variety of typical grocery store spice bottles in different sizes and shapes. It holds a good-sized (but not huge) collection of spices.I will say that it needs to be pushed flush up against a wall – either hanging or sitting on a counter – to keep the bottles from slipping out the back. We’ve had a little trouble with this since a rim on our counter keeps it from being flat on the wall, and we don’t have a space to hang it. It does come with its own hanging hardware, which we didn’t use.

  5. I actually purchased this for my bathroom, I store all of my nail polished on it. It is a fantastic and neat way to showcase the different colors and brands of nail polish I have. Adds ease to keeping up with the small bottles, and definitely makes it easy to choose a color when I am having a hard time comparing.

  6. I read through the Amazon item description, as well as read through all 36 evaluations of this product, yet still could not find an exact response to my primary question: “Exactly what dimension spice glass jars will fit in this shelf?”I purchased one, and am now decorating you with the solution. The space in between the bottom shelf and the middle rack is roughly 4 3/4 inches. The space between the center rack and the top rack is appoximately the same. There is a steel bar running across the front of each shelf to serve as a lip that keeps the jars from resulting of the front. That lip has to do with 1 1/4 inch over the rack. For that reason, in order to mix in and remove the taller jars from the shelves, you need to turn the containers to remove the front lip and the shelf above. Puts simply you need to angle them into and off of the shelf. I have actually found that you could effortlessly do this with jars that are about 4 inches tall. The common McCormick containers are about 4 1/2 inches tall, and I had the ability to acquire them into the very first and 2nd shelves with not much trouble. You will not wish to utilize the very first and second shelves for jars that are between 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 inches high. However, you can put glass jars of any elevation into the third shelf, as long as the glass jars are no greater than 2 1/2 inches in size. The 2 1/2 size limit puts on the very first and second shelves also. I wish this makes it less complicated for prospective customers to choose if they could utilize this spice rack. The spice shelf is well made, and the finish is a satin black that is silky to the touch. I just have 4 quibbles. 1) I wish there was a little bit a lot more clearance between racks. 2) I want they had actually put lips on the back like they did on the front, to ensure that you can use the shelf free-standing on a counter best without the jars falling out the back. A back lip would likewise have actually been useful for wall surface place applications to assist avoid your wall surface from being marked by flavor glass jars bumping the wall surface when you include or eliminate them from the racks. 3) The only mounting hardware that is featured are 4 screws that go through installing openings in the shelf. If you wall surface install this rack on drywall and miss the studs, you are visiting have to supply your very own wall anchors. I also wish the screws were somewhat longer, to give additional safe and secure seepage on studs. 4) My last quibble is with the item info. It’s sad that companies, including this one, don’t supply ample item details to answer consumers inquiries. It’s discouraging for consumers to have to undergo customer evaluations or send out concerns to item specialtists in a try to discover crucial details that the business failed to supply! Firms– awaken! Overall this is a quality spice rack, and if the dimensions are all right for your jars, I recommend it.

  7. My mother asked me for a flavor shelf for Christmas. Since I was doing every one of my purchasing over Amazon anyways, I chose to visit their stock. Just what I discovered was this fantastic product from Stacks and Stacks. The fantastic aspect of this particular shelf is its flexibility. Unlike others that feature their very own flavors, this one is totally barren. That can be a wonderful point, thinking about exactly how lengthy those flavors have actually possibly been resting in liquors. Plus, several of those shelfs have difficulty holding replacement ones once the originals run out. This rack was birthed to hold whatever you want. Furthering it’s versatility, it could be either wall-mounted or free-standing (which is how my mom established it up in her cooking area). It looks excellent, an attractive wrought-iron style design which complements most any sort of kitchen area design (can not go wrong with black). If it’s adaptability, design, design, portability, and high quality you’re seeking, after that look no more. This flavor rack is simply what any type of kitchen needs!

  8. I actually bought this for my washroom, I keep all my nail polished on it. It is a fantastic and orderly way to exhibit the various colors and brands of nail brighten I have. Includes convenience to keeping up with the small containers, and absolutely makes it simple to pick a color when I am having a hard time comparing.

  9. This is a stury, desirable spice shelf, but it’s a bit cramped. It’s also little to put those large-sized spices on (eg 9.5 oz garlic salt) however it’ll merely match regular height and definitely the short flavors. It’s a bargain for the cash.

  10. I got this spice shelf as a present for my roommate, who ‘d been searching unsuccessfully for a rack to hold her collection of flavor bottles. I believe she likes it … I understand I do! In fact, I am signed up for one of my very own now that I’m moving out and marrying. I think it’s attractive and homey-looking, plus well-crafted and sturdy. We’ve had no trouble with it suitable an assortment of normal grocery store flavor containers in different dimensions and shapes. It holds a good-sized (but not massive) collection of spices. I will point out that it should be driven flush up against a wall surface – either hanging or sitting on a counter – to keep the bottles from slipping out the back. We’ve had a little problem with this because a rim on our counter keeps it from being level on the wall, and we don’t have a room to hang it. It does include its own hanging equipment, which we didn’t use.

  11. My other half and I had actually been seeking a wall surface placed spice shelf for fairly at some point, and we lastly decided on this. I am really happy with this item. It looks great on the wall surface, the scroll style is really good and it suits my flavor glass jars incredibly. We ordered two of them and have them on the wall alongside each other and I could not be a lot more pleased. If you are trying to find a flavor shelf to hold the spices you already have after that this is a great selection. The only drawback is that it does not hold the larger dimension flavors anywhere yet the best, which was high quality for us considering that we don’t have numerous of them.

  12. This spice shelf is durable, simple to hang, looks excellent and matches “routine” (Appx 2 oz) spice glass jars of McCormick plastic, McCormick Premium (glass w/green leadings), Penzey’s, Lawry’s, Tastefully Simple, etc – or you can stack 2 of the smaller 1oz on top of each various other (Penzey’s and McCormick make this). It DOES not match the larger (appx 4oz) jars – e.g. Victoria brand name – which is exactly what previous evaluators that were dissatisfied were most likely whining about.

  13. I have actually restricted counterspace in my cooking area, so I wanted a free-standing spice rack. I live in an apartment and part of the lease arrangement is for no nail or screw gaps in the wall surface. I like the layout of this rack, plus the price is right, however I was actually dissapointed to figure out that it does not as a matter of fact stand upright. Its as well wobbly and suggestions over. This was a big adverse for me due to the fact that the advertisement specifically specifies free-standing as a feature. Additionally, if you’re not careful the spices could result of the rear of the gadget. The rack has four screws, so only get this rack if you prepare to slow to a wall surface.

  14. I had actually been searching for a flavor rack for a very long time, especially one that I could possibly place my very own spice bottles on and not have to move every little thing to various compartments. This one is ornamental and useful! I actually hung it on my cooking area wall surface rather than inside the cupboard due to the fact that it looked so awesome. The majority of my flavors fit on it; the just one that do not are big. I would most definitely recommend this flavor rack. It’s a wonderful addition to any sort of kitchen area!

  15. I bought 2 of these to impede my nail polish in the washroom and get it out of my unpleasant cabinets. These work so incredibly completely! There’s no setting up, their really simple and simple to put up, and the price cannot be defeated!(Linens and points market these precise ones for $30!)The size it ideal for a washroom. There concerning 1 foot large by a little over a foot high and they quickly hold 8 containers of polish throughout(so 24 containers overall)

  16. I bought these racks to use as a nail gloss shelf. This being that majority of nail polish shelfs are either hideous and/or extremely valued. These shelfs are extremely durable, excellent style and they position to the wall. If you want to utilize them as a free of cost standing shelf I recommend buying 2 lining up solitary confinements for mounting and zip link it with each other (back to back) or possibly bolt it together. Works just as fine. See to it you read the measurements because the image does make the rack seem a little bigger compared to it actually is.

  17. I completely adore this shelf !! I know it’s a spice shelf but I when I saw that some people used them for nail gloss, I was offered. They are quite tough and I didn’t even need to use all 4 screws; two screws are holding up pretty good. I wound up getting a second one the day it showed up since I saw exactly how tough it was and for $15, it’s a good buy. Each of my racks holds 59 nail polishes. I very recommend this product. I definitely adore it and am so pleased I bought two.

  18. I got these for my nail polish collection and it is absolutely perfect. Each shelf matches regarding FIFTY nail polishes, relying on the dimension and form of the bottle. The appearance of this rack is charming and fancier than an ordinary clear plastic shelf, which actually costs more. I got 2 and I’m planning on buying 2 more to eat when my collection grows. Wonderful item!

  19. I got this especially to hold all my nail polishes, and it functions like a charm! I can match 2 rows of polish on each rack, similar to the photo uploaded of nail gloss in the shelf (not my picture though). I actually like it, and it looks great alongside my vanity.

  20. Spice rack, schmice rack. I have this on the wall in my area for all my nail gloss. jobs terrific!

  21. Ordered this together with the “J.K. Adams 16-Piece Flavor Container Collection” and have been really pleased with both. Ready to purchase an additional, actually. Great price, does what it’s designeded to, and looks wonderful. I need to advise the discriminating shopper, though, that there is a dubious plot hiding beneath the surface area below– you see, this rack holds 6 bottles each rack for a total of 18 spice bottles. Liquors nevertheless, as has previously been noted, been available in 16 groups. Clearly, a conspiracy theory is at hand! Those very same schemers that are no question behind the known Hotdogs and Buns racket have not managed to stand up to the attraction of the flavor bottle sector, and are now sticking their fingers in to that pie also! The only way out of this maze of deceptiveness is to purchase 8 flavor racks and 9 Container packs for a total amount of 144 spices! It’s wicked! They seethe, I inform you, mad !!

  22. This spice shelf looks really good. I’m utilizing it to hold nail polish, and for recommendation purposes, it holds approximately 60 nail polishes pushed in there at maximum ability. Or else it would comfortably hold about 30 nail gloss for display objectives. My one quibble is that the cable that forms the rack bases is rather widely-spaced. As a result, the more slim containers do not relax flat on the shelves. Or else, it looks fantastic, the installment is simple, and I’m truly satisfied with the purchase.

  23. i passion this rack, i use it to place all my nail polishes on it. its charming and specifically the dimension i wanted for the quantity of nail polish i have.

  24. Love it. I have it in my bedroom for all my fingernail polishes, it looks so nice, you cannot actually inform that it’s intended to be a spice shelf!

  25. so beneficial and i can effortlessly see everything. I hung it up and utilize it as a nail gloss shelf as opposed to flavor shelf:)
