For people who have had problems with the ejector, it's probably because you peeled the entire clove before pressing. This leaves you trying to use the ejector on mush, which doesn't work super well. I find that the press works best with half-peeled cloves. I peel one face of the clove (half the time the peel falls off one side anyway as I'm breaking it off the head, so this isn't exactly hard) and put the bare side against the holes in the press. Then I press the cloves (I line up multiple cloves sometimes, doesn't seem to be a problem). Because there isn't papery skin between the clove and the holes in the press, the garlic presses easily, but there's enough skin left in the press that the leftover gunk pops out easily with the ejector. Of course it does also depend on the variety of garlic you're pressing. I mostly use hardneck garlics which have thicker skins than the stuff you get in supermarkets. (Don't get me started on the flavorless stuff that gets shipped in from China. A good, locally-grown garlic tastes SO much better. But I digress.)
My one (minor) beef with this press is that it does allow some garlic to squeeze out around the edges, the seal isn't ideal, but I've had this problem with pretty much every garlic press I've ever owned, so I'm not dinging it too much for that. The action is so smooth it feels like butter, it's super easy to clean, and I can do three giant heads of garlic for a 3-gallon pot of chili in just a few minutes.
I'd run out and buy another one of these right now, except that this one will probably last me a lifetime.
Despite reading comments about strength required, neither my wife nor I had any trouble using it. It is definitely big and heavy for a garlic press.
You may not be able to tell from the picture but you could fit several cloves into it at once without issue.
The scraper and ejector work reasonably well but I like that it's a fairly simple device. It's easy to clean and looks like it will last a long time. The hinge mechanism is tight as a luxury car door and there's very little garlic wasted. I wish it were a bit cheaper but I'm happy with the purchase.
Most of the leftover peel ends up in trash and then it’s an easy rinse to clean presser and put in sink or dishwater for final cleaning. I recommend this as your one, only, and ultimate garlic presser.
Pros:
1. Does an excellent job of pressing garlic.
2. Handles are comfortable to use compared to other presses (ergonomic).
3. Eject button and scraper help somewhat.
Cons:
1. Not all of the garlic gets pressed, especially for larger cloves. A second press solves that.
2. Not all the garlic gets scraped off. Scraping manually with a spatula or straight edge of some sort is necessary to avoid waste.
3. The eject button is a big help. But not everything gets ejected. It’s a great head start.
Conclusion: I won’t purchase another Garject given the lifespan of 4 years and that the press is somewhat wasteful and fussy. Returning to a minimalist all-metal design seems to be the best bet for me.

To ease cleaning I first eject any peels that can be ejected with the cleaning lever, then soaking the unit in a couple of inches of water, like in a short drinking glass. That softens any garlic that is still in the press. Leave the press in the water until after you've had your meal, and then rinse the press under the faucet. The soaking makes it easy to rinse bits of garlic out of the press.
I do recommend this to anyone who uses a lot of garlic. The combination of a good garlic press and a microplane branded grater for preparing ginger is an excellent combination for Indian cuisine. I used to make my own ginger garlic paste ahead of time and freeze it, and have also removed the skins from garlic and frozen the ready to use cloves. There is no need to do that anymore. I can prepare my garlic and ginger very quickly for each meal. These tools change an irritating chore into a trivial task.

I wont suggest using it with the skin on (so easy to remove anyway)!
Easy to clean, solid, crush garlic effortless.
Cleanning feature to keep your fingers away.
THE perfect tool unless you wish to use whole cloves....
